This is literally where the whole journey kicks off—d'Almeida’s very first sculpture.
It all started when he stumbled upon this raw piece of timber and saw something the rest of us would’ve completely missed: a human profile already waiting inside the chaos of nature. Instead of imposing a rigid design, he basically took a backseat and let the wood do the talking.
With just a touch of subtle refinement, polishing, and stabilization, he resurrected centuries-old nature into a striking silhouette. It’s that sweet spot where raw, untouched timber meets minimal human intervention—a historic moment in the catalog, and honestly, a absolute masterpiece of finding soul in the organic.
